Sleep gift questions
Ask us somethingWhat is a good sleep gift for a light sleeper?
Start with what wakes them. For light, a contoured or weighted mask; for noise, earplugs as a stocking filler or sleep earbuds as a big gift; for heat, a silk or cooling pillowcase; for dark mornings, a sunrise alarm clock.
Can a gift help someone who can't sleep?
A gift can make a bedroom darker, quieter or more comfortable. It cannot treat insomnia, which is a medical condition; for ongoing sleep trouble, a doctor is the right person to ask.
Why are there no prices on this gift guide?
Prices change daily and differ by store, so each pick carries a band in words only: stocking filler, mid gift or big gift. The store buttons show the current price.
Are earplugs a good stocking filler?
Foam and putty earplugs come in multi-pair packs (Mack's sells 2 to 18 pairs), so they fit a stocking. Fit varies by ear: the MAX also comes as a MAX Small (NRR 30, per Howard Leight) for small ear canals, and Loop sells XS to L tips.
